A total of 45 Brightlingsea One Designs have been built, of which some 30 boats are currently sailing. Several boats are undergoing restoration, several boats are For Sale and several have been lost or destroyed.
The BOD Owner’s Association also owns a number of older boats currently in need of restoration or significant refit work. They are for sale at very advantageous prices for owners willing to commit to their restoration and to racing with the Brightlingsea Fleet. Details of these boats can be found on our For Sale page.
Today new glassfibre BODs are available and the fleet is expanding thanks to the availability of these boats which have been very carefully specified to ensure they have exactly the same sailing characteristics as their wooden counterparts.
